Beginning with a Prayer

Holy Mary, full of the presence of God during your life you accepted with great humility the Holy Will of the Father and the legacy of your Son Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Evil never dared to entangle you with its confusion. Since then you have interceded for all of our difficulties. With all simplicity and patience you have given us example on how to untangle the knots in our complicated lives. By being our Mother forever, you arrange and make clear the path that unites us to Our Lord. Holy Mary, Mother of God and ours, with your maternal heart untie the knots that upset our lives. We ask you to receive in your hands our intentions and deliver us from the chains and confusions that have us restrained. Blessed Virgin Mary, through your grace, your intercession and by your example, deliver us from evil and untie the knots that keep us from uniting with God, so that once free of every confusion and error, we may find Him in all things, have Him in our hearts and serve him always in our brothers and sisters. Mother of Good Counsel pray for us . Amen

Hello all, this is my first attempt at blogging so please go easy on me. :)

I'm trying to make it a habit in my life to begin everything with a prayer. I want to incorporate it in every part of my life so, I thought, why not on here as well?

Prayer can be a powerful thing. I chose this one (Prayer to Our Lady, Untier of Knots) as a reminder that our lives can get screwed up and confusing. But God knows this, Jesus knows this. Just think of what He must have felt in the garden before His Passion.  The conflicting emotions, the fear, the worry, the love. Think of what Mary must have felt like after the Annunciation! The confusion, the anxiety, the wonder and awe.

This is what gives me so much comfort. They know what we go through. They know and they listen to us.  And once we are able to recognize this, our crosses become lighter. Once we are able to give our worries to God and not keep them to ourselves, once we are able to surrender ourselves fully, that is when we can become God's clay to form. We can become His masterpiece. We can truly become His vessel of Love and Life.

But this cannot happen overnight, it takes the course of a lifetime. It is a continuous journey everyday. And beginning with prayer is the first step in reaching the destination.
